When Chris Hulett asked Keni Carter to marry him, they knew they wouldn’t have much time to plan the wedding. Chris is suffering from Melanoma Cancer and, according to his doctors, will likely pass within a matter of days.  Not letting that stand in the way of them being wed, the two were married Friday, January 29th in the hospital chapel at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, GA (photos of the wedding can be viewed here).

The marriage of Chris Hulett and Keni Carter is one of the more incredible wedding stories we've heard.

Hulett is a Stephens County Sheriff’s Deputy in Athens. Last April, he was involved in a car wreck that broke his neck. While in the hospital, doctors discovered the Melanoma. He asked Keni to marry him back in December, but didn’t set a date. On Friday, they decided to go for it and get married that day. The hospital put together an impromptu reception hall where friends and family could gather for the ceremony.

“It turned one of the gloomiest days into the best day of my life.” Hulett said.
