It’s true. I can barely contain my excitement boredom over Chelsea Clinton’s upcoming nuptials. Here are five things that I find much more interesting than Chelsea’s surprise Vera Wang Trip or who’s on (or not on) the guest list:

The Politics of Mali

The Republic of Mali is a small African nation that borders Nigeria, Algeria and The Ivory Coast. Mali is divided into eight regions with each region having its own governor. The country has become pro-west in the years since they instituted a democratic system in 2002. This transition followed many years of political upheaval that had long threatened the stability of the country (on a side-note – Mali is landlocked and I ALWAYS find landlocked countries extremely interesting).

My Neighbors’ Work Schedule

I’ve been spying on my neighbors for about six months. I don’t suspect them of anything strange, I’m just bored. They both leave every morning at 7:15am. She returns for lunch around noon everyday except Thursday. He only comes home for lunch on Mondays.  They both arrive back home around 5:45pm except on Tuesdays when he gets home at 7:00pm. WHERE IS HE UNTIL 7 ON TUESDAYS?

The Whereabouts of my Peter Venkman Action Figure

From what I can recollect, I lost my Peter Venkman Ghostbusters toy around the time of my 9th birthday. I search for it every time I’m back at my parents’ house, but it’s nowhere to be found! I have a theory that my friend Jim Dibble stole it, but I can’t prove it. It’s depressing because I know exactly where my Egon, Ray, Winston and Stay-Puft figures are, but the set is not complete without Peter.

Did you hear about the couple that raised $3,800 for their wedding by collecting empty aluminum cans? Spokane, WA residents Peter Geyer and Andrea Parrish needed approximately 400,000 empty cans to meet their goal (which they met with a little help from donations by Alcoa and United Recycling Co.).

Peter Geyer and Amanda Parrish collected $3,800 worth of empty cans to help fund their wedding.

This got us to thinking. How many cans would it take to pay for an elaborate celebrity wedding? If you break down the value of each single can from the Spokane wedding, it comes in at just under a penny (.0095 cents to be exact). We checked ‘The 20 Most Expensive Celebrity Weddings’ and determined how many cans would have been needed to be saved to pay for the top weddings on the list.

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anniston – $1 Million Wedding – 105,263,158 cans

Madonna & Guy Ritchie –$1.5 Million Wedding – 157,894,736 cans

Think that’s a lot cans? That’s nothing! The world’s most expensive wedding ever was held for Vanisha Mittal (daughter of European steel tycoon Laxmi Mittal) and her fiancé Amit Bhatia in 2004. The tab came to approximately $60 Million USD!

That equates to 6,315,789,473 cans! That’s right – over 6 billion cans.

The Safeco Field Bullpen will host its first wedding today.

So far this season, the Seattle Mariners’ bullpen has been known for bad pitching. Today, it will take center stage for a different reason – Mariners’ bullpen catcher Jason Phillips will marry his fiance in the Safeco Field bullpen.

Here’s an idea of just how good baseball players have it: Phillips is the Mariners’ bullpen catcher. He is not on the team. He simply warms up the relief pitchers before they come into the game. For his services, he is paid an $80,000 annual salary. During a game against Oakland A’s back in 2009, his soon-to-be-bride, Molly Ray, was sitting in the stands near the bullpen. Phillips signed a baseball, put his phone number on it and tossed it to her. Twelve months later, they’re getting married.

As a big fan of the WWF of the late 80′s, this news is bittersweet: Randy Savage, aka “The Macho Man,” has tied the knot for the 2nd time – this time to Lynn Collins. Savage, who is still active in the wrestling community, is said to have found the love of his life again. The bittersweet part is that I always wished he would grow old with Miss Elizabeth. Sadly, she died of a drug overdose in 2003.

According to research, cougar hunting is becoming the favorite pastime for the men ages 18-26.  Hell, even Hollywood is getting into the act. Just look at 19-year-old ‘Kick Ass’ star Aaron Johnson. He recently announced his engagement to 43-year-old, mother of two, Sam Taylor-Wood.
