We crack a lot of jokes about weddings and marriage on this blog, but all kidding aside, we think that this is what every man should aim for when he says “I Do.”

If you’re not familiar with the story of John Wooden and the monthly love letters that he wrote to his late wife, the video below will be the best four and a half minutes you spend all week…. or maybe all year.  Coach Wooden certainly set the bar high for us guys.

As a big fan of the WWF of the late 80′s, this news is bittersweet: Randy Savage, aka “The Macho Man,” has tied the knot for the 2nd time – this time to Lynn Collins. Savage, who is still active in the wrestling community, is said to have found the love of his life again. The bittersweet part is that I always wished he would grow old with Miss Elizabeth. Sadly, she died of a drug overdose in 2003.

Love must be blind..

One thing is for sure, I need to find a Slim Jim ASAP.

According to research, cougar hunting is becoming the favorite pastime for the men ages 18-26.  Hell, even Hollywood is getting into the act. Just look at 19-year-old ‘Kick Ass’ star Aaron Johnson. He recently announced his engagement to 43-year-old, mother of two, Sam Taylor-Wood.

The couple started dating 18 months ago after she divorced Jay Jopling, but the engagement wasn’t announced until last Thursday, April 22nd when she showed off her engagement ring at an event in London.

How did this incredible engagement story come to be?

Long story.  In short, a good idea and phenomenal execution by my whole family as well as Jim (Palm Beach Autographs owner who was running the event) and Tim Tebow of course.  Tebow agreed ahead of time and my sister came up with most of the execution at the event.

Everyone knows how great of a class act Tim Tebow is. What was it like meeting him in person? Did he offer you any advice as you prepare to take this huge step in life?

He is a class act, but we didn’t have time to exchange advice.

It’s going to be hard to top this engagement, but have you thought how involved of a groom you’ll be in the wedding planning? Will you help plan every detail? Or just sit back and wait til the bachelor party?

Somewhere in between.  I will certainly offer my two cents, but I do not think I will go through the stress and planning that this engagement entailed.  I will definitely enjoy the bachelor party, my friends are never short on surprises themselves!

Be honest, do you think your fiance was a little upset that it wasn’t Tebow popping the question?

No.  This is an honest answer.  She certainly admires and adores Tebow, but she was certain who was popping the question, not to mention, she has had 9 years to back out of this deal.  We are both thrilled that he is now going to be a part of our life above and beyond the joy he brought to us during Gator football season.

Wedding talk aside, what kind of NFL pro do you think Tebow will be?

I think this question is overhyped.  The reason being that Tim Tebow transcends sports, as evidenced by the insane reaction this engagement has gotten.  He will be successful regardless of what his NFL future holds.  However, his new release looks promising and his combine efforts were extraordinary.  Talks of New England drafting him are exciting, because a coach like Belichick can certainly help a rookie find his footing.
