Guys: Hide Your Flask in a Secret Safe Book

Why would a groomsman need a book? For reading? Nah, that’s boring and so last-century. To display on a shelf? Yea right; it’s more likely to end up buried in an attic or closet. No, we’re thinking of something a little more sneaky and sinister.

That’s right, folks. Meet Secret Safe Books — the coolest thing we’ve seen in a long time! These custom-built hide-a-flask books are the brainchild of Kara Witham and the fruit of her online shops at SecretSafeBooks and Etsy. The concept is simple (and brilliant): an old book is hollowed out with a scroll saw to fit a 6-oz. flask inside. The pages are then glued shut, magnets are hidden inside so that the book will securely close, and presto — you get a unique gift that looks like it belongs in a Sherlock Holmes novel. [Editor's note: Why didn't I think of this?]
