OneWed’s Local Flavor: Spreading the News

Ahh, you’ve proposed. Now what? How does keep your mouth shut sound? Believe it or not, telling the wrong people at the wrong time can start a chain reaction of bad feelings that you’ll spend the next year unraveling.
Obviously, you’ll both want to tell your parents first. If her parents are traditional, they may expect your parents to invite them for coffee or a meal so that all parties can meet. Once your families know, let her tell her best friends first. Then, you tell your friends. Why her first? Um, because your friends probably don’t care who knows first, and hers do. Remember, don’t start inviting people to be in your wedding party, or even to be at the wedding until you have more details. Of course, you can always spread the word with OneWed’s Wedding Pre-Party Engagement Announcement.
